Brandi Kole's work as a mixed fiber artist delves into complex themes of identity, gender, and sexuality. Through her innovative use of materials and techniques, Kole offers a fresh take on this medium by creating works that are both contemporary and timeless. Her pieces invite viewers to engage with the depth and complexity of the female experience, defying conventional notions of domestic practices and the societal expectations attached to them.

Brandi Kole earned her BFA at the University of Arizona, specializing in Painting, Drawing, and Mixed Media applications. Raised in a family of matriarchs, Kole was introduced to fiber art at a young age by her grandmother and mother. Drawing inspiration from these early experiences, Kole combines embroidery with collage-style painting, resulting in striking mixed media fiber works. Her art is distinguished by the use of loose loops of thread and torn paper, which convey an emotional femininity and raw energy. Kole currently maintains studios in Minneapolis, MN and Tucson, AZ.
